Dear Association Family,

We are writing to let you know that our Association Day for 2025 will be on Saturday, April 12.  Please note there will be a change of location.  We will meet at the Chestnut Hill Benevolent Association (CHBA) in Brookline, Massachusetts. Please mark your calendars, for you are being called to a spiritual feast – an occasion designed to fill us all with inspiration and renewed purpose as we come hungering and thirsting after righteousness. Do hold off, however, on reserving a room at the CHBA until November 1.

The Executive Committee has heard from a number of Association participants concerning shortcomings that have been noted with the Hilton hotel in Dedham, where the Association has met in recent years. Careful and prayerful consideration has been given to those concerns, and our spiritual leading has been to make the move, at least for this next year, to CHBA.

Doesn’t it seem right to meet in a setting that is fully supportive of the spiritual nature of our Association? But of course what is of even deeper importance is the fulfilling of God’s purpose and the joyous reception of what God is revealing to us, individually and together as an Association Family.

Please know that you are dearly cherished by your Association’s Executive Committee.

Although our April 12, 2025 Association day is not quite on the horizon, we wanted to share some brief but important information to help with your early planning.

Our new venue, the Chestnut Hill Benevolent Association (the BA) will begin to take guest reservations starting on November 1st. To request a reservation and guest application please use the BA website:  https://www.chbenevolent.org/rest-study

The number of BA rooms is limited and fluctuates with the needs of the Christian Science Nurse training classes and other activities. We do not know the available number at this time, however, there are many hotels and several bed & breakfast inns within 5 miles of the BA. The Chestnut Hill area includes parts of Newton, Brookline and Boston. Several hotels are listed here:

  • Homewood Suites by Hilton Boston Brookline - 111 Boylston St. Brookline, MA

  • Beacon Inn - 1750 Beacon St. Brookline, MA

  • Longwood Inn - 123 Longwood Ave. Brookline, MA

  • Hotel Boston - 40 Mt Hood Rd. Boston, MA

  • Homewood Suites by Hilton Boston Needham - 200 First Ave. Needham, MA

  • Sheraton Boston Needham - 100 Cabot St.  Needham, MA

  • Residence Inn Boston Needham - 80 B St. Needham, MA

We look forward to settling into the BA auditorium for our Saturday sessions. We will use the large living room, or the beautiful surrounding grounds, for lunch that day.  You’ll have the option to pre-order a bag lunch and there are many nearby restaurants along Route 9, though not in walking distance.

We hope to have lots of volunteers to staff the Address Reading Activity. This will allow the gift of reading Skip’s addresses to be available on both Friday and Sunday in the living room.

We’ll have much more information coming in the next months – stay tuned!

With love,
Jane
