What do you feel the word creation implies?  The first thought that comes to mind is “the complete”.  I think of that in the context of the true idea of God – and man having all!  

In your own words describe your impression of the chapter “Creation” in Science and Health:  I think of perfection, a freshness, a beginning! When I think about creation as it relates to “now” I think about being an idea pioneer.  The ideas are already complete I just need to discover them!  It’s much like the Lewis & Clark expedition to cross what is now the western portion of the United States – the land was already there, they just needed to discover it, to see it, in all of its beauty.  

We are discoverers of the truth of being – moving away from the familiar into glorious new possibilities.  Mrs. Eddy writes, “Mortals must gravitate” – move in a new direction – “Godward, their affections and aims grow spiritual, – they must near the broader interpretations of being, and gain some proper sense of the infinite…” (SH 265:5) This is my duty – to drop, move away from – obsolete, outmoded thinking which limits me.  I feel we must strive to become perennial discoverers of all that is good!

My increased understanding of true creation has helped me recognize myself as a spiritual idea.  Not the limited uneducated person I identified with.  This dropping of self has led to a diviner understanding of all mankind, including myself as an unlimited unique idea expressing qualities of God to reflect the whole.  Once I had the recognition of being God-created, I was able to accomplish so much, completing not only my undergraduate cum laude but also my graduate degree which has supported my current work and will continue to support new expanding opportunities!
