“Each prayer…is a reference point, a landmark of strength and conviction, showing me the way forward."

The chapter on Creation has helped me to know:
1)    There is only one Mind, Life, Spirit, Love.  Man and the universe are the manifestation of Mind, forever loving, intelligent, healthy, and at peace.  This is the only creation and the eternal fact of being.

2)    It is necessary to reverse a material view of life. The last paragraph on p. 267 says that “by reversal, errors serve as waymarks to the one Mind.”  Each prayer, reversing an error with the truth, is a reference point, a landmark of strength and conviction, showing me the way forward.  In this light of spiritual understanding, beliefs of physical and moral errors of fear, hatred, pain, and suffering, dissolve into nothingness and healing is evident.

The Association references in Section Five helped me to see more clearly that errors are really deceptions of the material senses. I cannot accept at face value what material sense seems to be telling me. Even when a situation may seem “impressive” or threatening, it is all a deception.  In the ever-presence of God, Love, there is only spiritual sense, and hatred in any form is not possible.

3)    Our healings show scientific proof that we can understand and demonstrate the true creation of man and the universe, right here and now.  I’m applying the truth of one Mind and one spiritual creation to the news of the day, reversing the errors that argue the inevitability of evil and the separation of man from God, good.  I strive to be alert and consistent, “stand(ing) porter at the door of thought.” (SH, p. 392)

I was asked to teach a class of five teenagers in the Sunday School of the Christian Science Society in Kigali for a few weeks.  I shared the reference on p. 63, of Science and Health with them.  “In Science man is the offspring of Spirit. The beautiful, good, and pure constitute his ancestry. …Spirit is his primitive and ultimate source of being; God is his Father, and Life is the law of his being.”  Then I told them that because there is one God, one Father and Mother, we are all one family. I was their sister and they were my brothers and sisters.  They were a bit surprised when I said it, but they loved hearing it!!  It was a revelation to them that this truth applied to all of us together.  It was a freedom, and we all felt an unbounded joy and gratitude for this glorious truth.
