Prayer for a friend and Moonbeam, her puppy

Last summer I tried to help a college friend in her search for a Yorkie puppy by giving her contact information for an out-of-state breeder. After some months, she went forward with the purchase of a puppy from this source. She named the puppy “Moonbeam.”

As captivating as this puppy was, she came with some challenging, quirky behaviors, such as being afraid to walk across the kitchen floor, taking flight outdoors, and consuming garden mulch.

In December, I got an earful of weary negatives about Moonbeam. Yet in spite of these drawbacks, the puppy had endeared herself to my friend. I didn’t feel I needed to ask my friend if she would like me to pray about the situation. I put my whole heart into it.

Before I had a chance to tell my friend I had prayed for her, I got this email:

Subject: MOONBEAM

IT WAS SO NICE TO TALK TO YOU. I THINK YOU MUST HAVE PRAYED FOR US, BECAUSE HER BEHAVIOR HAS IMPROVED AND SO HAS MY PATIENCE.

THANK YOU.
