“All of these healings left me asking, ‘What cannot God do?’”
/For many of the testifiers, the state of consciousness was one of being made over, being made new. This was apparent from the gratitude that was expressed by the testifiers.

For many of the testifiers, the state of consciousness was one of being made over, being made new. This was apparent from the gratitude that was expressed by the testifiers.
Read MoreThe cumulative effect of reading just one year's published (the tip of the iceberg) testimonies of healing is indicative of how much Christian Science has done for individuals, families and the world.
Read MoreWhat was the state of consciousness of these testifiers? Receptivity, expectation, trust, persistence, simplicity, conviction, steadfastness - and so much more. A clear recognition that God IS All.
Read MoreI kept a log of my thoughts/reactions to these testimonies, as well as capturing key quotes, and it is impossible to review these in preparing these thoughts without feeling the extraordinary presence of divine Love in these healings and lives. Very uplifting and inspiring!
Read MoreThis testimony, along with others, has been helpful in understanding more of the power and healing of the ninety-first Psalm. I have begun to read this psalm, along with the twenty-third Psalm, each day and am grateful for the healing, comfort, and clarity of thought it brings.
Read MoreAnother aspect of these testimonies that greatly impressed me was the often quick or instantaneous nature of the healings that came to people with no prior knowledge of Christian Science. I considered on what it was that brought these quick healings to newcomers to Christian Science, and I concluded that a prime reason was the willingness to learn and accept this Truth in their lives.
Read MoreHaving read and been moved by the testimonies in the 1943 Journal, I can honestly say that they are a great help to me. The variety of testifiers, of people I could relate to readily, has increased my sense of a common humanity. A sense of exiting the tomb of conformity, appreciating more one’s own individuality as expressing the “divine law and order of being” has grown and settles upon me.
Read MoreFrom the first testimony, I wanted to cheer aloud. The 1943 Sentinel testimonies have truly been for me the promised bugle call. They’ve woken me up, cleared out the cobwebs of concern and doubt, and cut through the din of mortal opinions, fears, apathy, vulnerability, and even nostalgia that I felt lost in.
Read MoreThrough this abundant and inspiring collection of testimonies, the primary lesson to me is the proof that nothing is impossible to God – that there is absolutely no human condition in which the power of Truth cannot be understood and demonstrated.
Read MoreI have thoroughly enjoyed setting aside this time in my day to appreciate these people’s love for God and their gratitude for Christian Science. Each, as one testifier said is a Psalm of Gratitude. They were all so beautiful and such good reminders of our own healings and so inspiring.
Read MoreSomething unexpected happened during that first session. After copy and pasting for about two hours, I had noticed a trend in every single testimony. Every one of them began with a sentence of gratitude. This was something I had never really recognized before when reading the Sentinel testimony sections.
Read More“Joys that can only be shared” (CSS June 19, ’43, p. 1094) sums up the overall feeling I got from reading these testimonies. The healings large and small, instantaneous and of longer duration were expressed with a confidence, an assurance and an expectation and appreciation of the surety of good appearing that radiated from the pages. There was no doubting the allness of God.
